Fighting against the cold, wind, and rain the Girls Track and Field Team started the conference meet with one conference champion, one runner up, and several advancing to finals on Thursday.

Senior distance star Sarah Anaya battled a field of talented distance runners to take first in the 3200 meter run and score the Spartans ten points.

In the discus Abby Hepper threw 104 feet to take the conference runner up spot and score eight points for the team.

Several other Spartans qualified for finals on Thursday including:
Aliah Jackson – Qualified in 2nd in the 100 meter dash and 2nd in the 200 meter dash
Zoe Boughton – Qualified in 6th in the 100 meter dash and 6th in the 200 meter dash
Kate Carlson – Qualified in 8th in the 100 meter dash
Emma Raab – Qualified in 6th in the 800 meter run
Sydney Hassing – Qualified in 10th in the 800 meter run
Rachel Anderson – Qualified in 8th in the 200 meter dash
