A rainy Tuesday afternoon and a beautiful Mississippi National Golf Club were the backdrop to the Red Wing Invitational which hosted 12 of the best high school golf programs in the state. The Spartan six posted their best team score of the season, and continued to build positive momentum that will help them for the rest of the season. Sophomore Anna Ahern, and Senior Kylie Seeling played key roles in the low team score and navigated the lowlands like it was their home course. Junior Captain Rachael Wolfe highlighted a brilliant round with two birdies on the front nine on her way to a smooth 86. Eighth grader Isabella McCauley matched her best of the year with a one-under 70 that featured solid ball striking, and a spectacular save on the difficult 16th hole. McCauley placed 2nd overall in the tournament. The Spartans resume conference play on Wednesday when they play host to Tartan.
