Boys Varsity Trapshooting · 2018 Updates From the Team!

The 2018 Trap Season is fast approaching and we have some important information.

Our Google Calendar is online and will have all the important dates on it.  Please note the parent/athlete meeting on Tuesday Feb. 13th from 6-8PM in the Spartan Center at Simley High School.  Simley Trap Google Calendar

The Simley Clay Club is excited to make the following announcement for the 2018 season.  In addition to trap we will be offering returning athletes the option to shoot skeet and/or sporting clays.  We are requiring a minimum of one full squad(5 athletes) for skeet and sporting clay.  If we do not have enough athletes to participate in either sporting clay or skeet  we will give those athletes the opportunity to choose another event.

Trap and skeet will be run through the MSHSCTL with a State Championship in Alexandria for trap and a Championship in Prior Lake for skeet.  Sporting clay will be run through USAYESS.  There is no State championship for sporting clay; but there will be a local tournament with awards for those participating.

League registration is currently NOT opened.   But so we can get started please use the linked Google form to let us know what event(s) your athlete(s) will participating in.   We are requiring all first year athlete to participate in trap.  Any returning athlete has the to option to participate in any event.  We will let everyone know when registration is officially open.  2018 Trap Registration Form.

The costs for these events are still being finalized.  But expect each event to be around $300.  Returning athletes can shoot in more than one event; but they will need to pay for each event they participate in.
